EA에서 C&C 시리즈 12주년 기념으로 C&C 골드를 무료로 다운로드 받게 했다는군요. (소식을 전한 원본 포스트 방문)

XP 사용자분들 중 C&C  GOLD의 설치과정을 보긴 봐야 하는데,  영어 울렁증이 있으신 분들을 위해 번역본을 올립니다. 참고하세요.

INSTALLING AND RUNNING C&C GOLD ON WINDOWS XP
윈도우XP에서 C&C GOLD설치 및 실행하기

Follow the instructions below to install and play C&C GOLD
다음과 같이 C&C GOLD 를 설치하시고 실행하시오.

Preparing to Install
설치 준비

1. Insert either C&C disc into your CD drive

2. Open My Computer and explore the CD

3. Right click either the install.exe or setup.exe

4. select PROPERTIES

5. Select the COMPATIBILITY tab

6. Check the check box for “Run this program in compatibility mode for”

7. Select WINDOWS 95 from the drop down menu

8. Click APPLY then OK

9. Double click the .exe file you just modified to launch it
   

1. C&C 디스크를 CD 드라이브에 넣는다.

2. 내 컴퓨터를 열고 CD 의 내용을 탐색한다.(더블클릭하면 자동적으로 실행되는 것이 아닌 우클릭 후 ‘탐색’ 을 클릭한 후 들어간다.)

3. install.exe 파일이나 setup.exe 파일을 우클릭한다.

4. 속성을 선택한다.

5. 호환성 탭을 선택한다.

6. “이 프로그램을 실행할 호환 모드” 체크박스에 체크한다.

7. 드롭다운 메뉴에서 WINDOWS 95 를 선택한다.

8. 적용 버튼을 클릭한 후 확인버튼을 클릭한다.

9. .exe 파일을 더블클릭하면 수정된 방법으로 실행이 될 것이다.

Installing the Game

게임 설치하기

1. When you’re prompted to update DirectX, uncheck the check box so you won’t install it. It is extremely important not to install this DirectX update

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

Note: Installing Westwood Chat is not required, it can be canceled if you desire

1. 다이렉트X업뎃을 제안하는 창이 뜨면 체크표시를 해제한다.(^^님 번역교정 감사합니다.)

2. 화면에 있는 설치 과정을 따라가면 설치가 완료된다.

   참고 : Westwood Chat 설치과정은 꼭 필요하지 않다. 당신이 원한다면 이것은 취소해도 된다.

Installing the Patch

패치파일 설치

1. Visit ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/ccgold and download CCGOLDXPPATCH.ZIP

2. Unzip the files and copy thipx32.dll into the install directory of the game (default path is c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95). You may overwrite the old version of the .dll file

1. ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/ccgold 에 들어간 후 CCGOLDXPPATCH.ZIP 을 다운로드 한다.

2. 압축을 푼 후 thispx32.dll 을 복사한 후 게임이 설치된 디렉토리에 붙여넣는다.(기본 설치 디렉토리는 c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95). 구버전의 .dll파일이 덮어쓰여질 것이다.

Preparing to Run the Game

게임 실행 준비

1. Go to the install directory of the game (default path is c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95)

2. Right click C&C95.exe

3. Select PROPERTIES

4. Select the COMPATIBILITY tab

5. Check the check box for “Run this program in compatibility mode for”

6. Select Windows 95 from the drop down menu

7. Check the check box for “Disable visual themes”

8. Check the check box for “Turn off advanced text services for the program”

9. click APPLY then OK

1. 게임을 설치한 폴더로 간다. (기본 설치 디렉토리는 c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95)

2. C&C95.exe을 우클릭한다.

3. 속성을 선택한다.

4. 호환성 탭을 선택한다.

5. “이 프로그램을 실행할 호환 모드” 체크박스에 체크한다.

6. 드롭다운 메뉴에서 WINDOWS 95 를 선택한다.

7. 적용 버튼을 클릭한 후 확인버튼을 클릭한다.

Playing the Game

게임 실행

1. Select Start > All Programs > Westwood > Command & Conquer 95 > Command & Conquer Windows 95 Edition. Or double click C&C95.exe located in the install directory (default path is c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95)

1. 시작>모든 프로그램> Westwood > Command & Conquer 95 > Command & Conquer Windows 95 Edition을 선택하거나 게임이 설치된 디렉토리에 가서 C&C95.exe 를 더블클릭한다.(기본 설치 디렉토리는 c:\WESTWOOD\C&C95)

*Command & Conquer is not online compatible

* Command & Conquer는 온라인은 지원하지 않는다.


덧)Windows Vista에서도 호환실행 모드가 있는걸로 보아 Vista에서도 가능한 것 같습니다. 참고하세요.(32비트 환경에서 실행했는데 64비트 환경에서는 모르겠군요. 64비트 환경에서 실행 성공하신 분 제보바랍니다.)
